Telecom Bharti Airtel launches 4G services in 26 Ladakh Villages
Telecom major Bharti Airtel launches 4G services and 2G services in 26 cities in Ladakh on Thursday, becoming the first operator to deliver high-speed cellular broadband to those high-altitude regions. These villages are dispersed over 150 km from Kargil-Battalik-Hanutang-Skurbuchan-Khalsi.
Hub CEO Manu Sood, Upper North, Bharti said: "This is a brand new year for Bharti Airtel to Ladakh people. With the launch of our 4G & 2G providers, we are excited to bring cheers to the tens of thousands of locals in Ladakh and provide 26 fresh villages around the entire map for 4G." Bharti Airtel said in a statement.
"We are dedicated to this Authority Digital India vision and will continue to put money into Ladakh," he said as Bharti airtel launches 4G services.
4G providers empower local citizens to enjoy electronic services such as HD quality video streaming, superfast uploads, and downloads, and high-speed internet surfing as Bharti airtel launches 4G services.
Bharti Airtel launches 4G services to highlight challenging territories from the region to enable Airtel's network groups to overcome the challenges of harsh weather and enable the citizens of those cities, Telecom said.
Bharti Airtel is the first operator to launch 4G solutions in Ladakh's Leh, Kargil and Dras in December 2017, in Airtel's continuing nationwide network exchange initiative - Project Leap.
This increase marks the second anniversary of the launch of 4G providers in the region from Bharti Airtel.
With this, locals, army, and tourists visiting the following places/villages of Kargil & Leh in Ladakh can now enjoy Bharti Airtel 4G services in Bayama, Apati, Derchix, Lalung, Achamal, Barche, Lansusando, Yogmaharbu, Sanjak, Silmo, and Garcon.
